TIGHE Paul (Clontarf) August 23, 2019. On the eve of Paul's anniversary, we thank most sincerely all of those who sympathised with us in our bereavement. We are deeply grateful to all who supported Paul and us during his illness, who attended our home where Paul lay in repose, who attended the Celebration of his Life, and to those who continue to support us. The support of our extended family, friends and neighbours was invaluable; all messages, prayers, mass cards, letters of sympathy and beautiful food were very much appreciated. We thank the QuironSalud Hospital in Marbella, the air ambulance crew who assisted in Paul's repatriation, the ambulance services in Marbella and Dublin, the Voluntary Health Insurance Board, and all of those who helped us during that very difficult time. We thank the wonderful staff of Beaumont Hospital for the care and kindness afforded to Paul, and us, during his illness. The exemplary care Paul received from all who cared for him is deeply appreciated. The care and kindness of all the staff of St. Teresa's Ward where Paul spent most of his illness in isolation was a great comfort to us. The level of care afforded to him was extraordinary, as was the care in the Emergency Department, the Intensive Therapy Unit and Jervis Ward, where Paul passed away. The empathy and understanding from the staff of Jervis Ward sustained us as we supported Paul in his last days. We thank Dr. John Quinn, the Haematology team and Colman K. Byrne Unit for their excellent care; the Blood Transfusion Board and all those who donate blood and plasma. The support from Paul's colleagues and friends in RTÉ, Howth Golf Club, RTÉ Golf Society, Press Radio TV Golf Society, Duquesa Golf Club, Spain, and the Class of '68, St Paul's, Raheny, is much appreciated. We thank all of those who donated to the Ross Nugent Foundation. These monies were used by the Foundation to improve the comfort of the isolation rooms in St. Teresa's Ward. We were fortunate to have the kind professional services of Kirwans Fairview when Paul died. We are unable to thank everyone individually, as we do not have addresses for all; we trust this will be accepted as an expression of our appreciation. We will carry him with us. Our love will never die. Thank you. Ita, Owen and Claire.
