BANNISTER - (Ted) (1918-1983) - Remembering you with love and never forgetting how you loved us. Your sons Garry and Frank
WESTLAND ROW
I got out when the traffic cleared,
At Trinity Gate, I turned to watch Da
go,
His car moved out, then disappeared,
Off to the left and down thru
Westland Row.
"I'll meet you at the gate at one"
he said,
I hear him speak though many a year
he's gone,
I see him scratching thoughtfully his
head,
Repeating a phrase from some 1940s
song.
Sometimes, when I am passing by the
Gate,
Hoping Da will show up, I still wait..
Then in the traffic of my mind we go,
Off to the left and down thru
Westland Row.
