McCARTHY, Aidan (Farmleigh Avenue, Stillorgan Co. Dublin and formerly Dunmanway, Co. Cork), June 27, 2022 peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband and best friend of Breda, cherished father of Bryan, Paul and Nieve, father-in-law of Emma and Mike and adored grandfather of Zara, Isla, Inez, Conor and Owen. Aidan will be forever loved and missed by Breda and his family, brother Denis, sisters Deirdre and Marcia, brothers-in-law Micheál and Neil, sister-in-law Imelda, nieces, nephews, extended family, members of Dun Laoghaire Golf Club and his wide circle of friends. May he Rest in Peace. Reposing at Home. House private please. Mass will be celebrated at 10.00am, tomorrow (Wednesday) at the Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Succour, Foxrock, followed by a private cremation ceremony. Dublin), June 27, 2022 - On Aidan's First Anniversary his wife Breda, sons Bryan and Paul and daughter Nieve and their families would like to express their appreciation to all who attended Aidan's funeral and expressed their condolences and sympathy with cards, phone calls and messages of support. Renewed thanks to the Blackrock Hospice Palliative care team for their expert care and sensitivity during the final weeks of Aidan's illness. Special thanks to all the carers who looked after Aidan and treated him with the dignity and respect he deserved. Aidan will be forever missed and loved by his family. As it would not be possible to thank everyone individually we hope that you accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our gratitude.
