MOLTKE, Vicki (Victoria Ann) August 4th 2021. Peacefully in the tender care of Royal Hospital Donnybrook. She was born May 21, 1946 in New York City to Mab Wilson Moltke and Carl Adam Moltke. While Vicki was raised in New York, she moved to Ireland fifty years ago to work at the Central Remedial Clinic (CRC), an organization dedicated to caring for children with physical disabilities. Born with cerebral palsy herself, she dedicated her career to CRC, working there for 40 years until her retirement in 2011. Vicki was beloved by the hundreds of children she cared for, both because of how she helped them work through the daily tasks of life and also for her unceasing encouragement and cheer. She maintained strong connections to family in Denmark and the United States, regularly visiting both and maintaining continued contact via Zoom sessions during the COVID-19 pandemic. She has been blessed to reside at the Royal Hospital Donnybrook for the last five years, and survived COVID earlier this year. Vicki has been an enduring source of love, acceptance and encouragement to everyone who knew her and will be sorely missed by her family and many friends in Ireland and abroad. She is survived by a sister, Alexandra, of New York; a nephew Adam Isles, his wife Hannah, and their children Nina and Peter, of Washington DC; and cousins Henrik and Pauline Moltke, Casper and Monica Moltke, Christine and Michael Mates and their children. In accordance with government guidelines on public gatherings, a private family Funeral limited to 18 people will take place in the Garden Chapel at Mount Jerome Harolds Cross tomorrow Friday afternoon at 1.30pm and can be viewed by following the link https://vimeo.com/event/139693. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Royal Hospital Donnybrook https://friendsofrhd.ie/donations/1369
