LUIBHÉID Colm, (Montiagh, Claregalway, Co. Galway, Emeritus Professor of Classics, NUI, Galway), (peacefully), in the gentle care of the palliative team at UCHG - October 9, 2017, after a long illness, bravely borne, predeceased by his wife Patricia (Ladd); profoundly loved and missed by his wife Josephine (Griffin), his son Tom, daughters Mary, Eithne and Irene and their partners, his cherished grandson Orin, his carer Rachel. Mourned by a wide circle of friends, colleagues and care team. Reposing at Síoraíocht in the grounds of the Church of the Assumption and St. James, Claregalway, today (Tuesday) from 4pm. Removal at 6pm to the adjacent Church. Requiem Mass tomorrow (Wednesday) at 11 am. Burial afterwards in the New Cemetery, Athenry. House private. Family flowers only please. Donations instead to the very worthy Galway Parkinsons Association. " . . . good night, sweet prince . . .
