O'CONNELL - Kieran (Letterkenny, Co. Donegal). We, the family of the late Kieran O’Connell, wish to express our deep gratitude and appreciation to all who sympathised with us on our recent loss. We wish to sincerely thank our extended family, friends and neighbours who supported us throughout the wake and funeral. We were overwhelmed and deeply touched by the volume of Mass cards, Sympathy cards and messages of condolence on RIP.ie. To everyone who prayed for Kieran, sent text messages, wrote letters, and telephoned, thank you. To all who stood by the roadside to pay their respects as the funeral cortege passed by and to those who stood outside the Cathedral and Cemetery grounds or watched online, your presence and support was felt and greatly appreciated. A sincere thank you to Dr. David Fennelly and the nursing staff of Cedar Ward, St Vincent’s Private Hospital, Dublin who cared so kindly and compassionately for Kieran. Thank you to those who cared for him in Letterkenny University Hospital - the paramedics, doctors, nurses and porters. A special word of thanks to Siobhan Logue and the staff of Ruth’s Pharmacy. Thank you to Fr. Brian Quinn for his kind words and support and for celebrating Kieran’s Mass so meaningfully and to Fr Michael McKeever and to Fr Brendan Callanan for concelebrating the Mass. Thank you to Tommy Callaghan and Trudy O’Donnell for the beautiful music during the funeral. Finally, to Con McDaid, Thank you for your compassionate and professional handling of the funeral arrangements. As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this Acknowledgement as a token of our gratitude and appreciation. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions. Kieran’s Month’s mind will be celebrated on Saturday, 12, June at 6.30pm in The Church of the Irish Martyrs, Letterkenny.
