HOGAN - Tony (Anthony), (Late of Stillorgan, Co. Dublin.
First Anniversary). On April 19, 2020 Tony left us (due to his illness which he bore with
courage, determination and great spirit).
Dearly loved and sorely missed by his wife Peig, daughter's Ruth and Linda,
son's in law Brad and John and his beloved grandchildren Matilda, Isabelle and
Meadhbh.
We will be forever grateful to the oncology staff at St Vincent's Private
Hospital who cared for Tony over a period of six years. You became part of
our family.
A special thank you to Dr D. McCarthy, Dr Elkie, Caroline and Dr. L. Smith
for ensuring Tony was always informed, cared for and supported. Our deep
appreciation to the nursing staff in both day oncology and Cedar Unit who
cared for Tony with kindness and compassion.
We also express our gratitude to our G.P. Dr Paddy Feeney, always there for
us.
We would like to acknowledge the many people who expressed their
condolences to us personally and who sent mass cards and messages of
sympathy.
To those members of our extended family, neighbours and friends who stood
outside our home as the cortege passed, you brought great comfort to us.
Thank you to Fr. Joe for his words of comfort and celebrating Tony's funeral
Mass and thank you to Massey's Funeral Directors, particularly Susan, for
their professionalism and direction.
Public Health restrictions permitted only ten people at Tony's funeral, but
with the wonders of technology, extended family here and abroad, Tony's past
work colleagues and many friends were with us in spirit on the day. A big
thank you to everyone.
As a family we will always appreciate the kindness, thoughtfulness and
ongoing support of our extended family, friends and neighbours during this
past year.
We are looking to the post Covid-19 future when we will be able to
celebrate Tony's life with all of you.
Forever in our thoughts.

no one can heal,
Love leaves a memory
no one can steal
