MCCORMICK - Peter Edward (Malone Park, Newforge, Belfast and Shore Road, Rostrevor) Barbara and Conor, family of the late Peter McCormick - beloved husband of the late Anne McCormick (neé Treanor) and “Papa” to grandsons Pearce, Ethan and Dean - wish to acknowledge the kindness shown to us following our bereavement on July 4, 2021. Heartfelt thanks to our cousin, Fr. Desmond Mooney:- for his spiritual, practical guidance, good humour and friendship during this difficult time for him and us; for presenting such a beautiful, personal Requiem Mass/Eulogy for his Uncle Peter; and for sharing the Church of St. Mary’s Star of the Sea. Thanks to Matthew for the choral music throughout.

Love and gratitude to Dad’s sister-in-law, Auntie Pat, for her support, reassuring presence, remarkable energy and sympathetic ear. Thanks to the McCormicks, specifically Marguerite, Mark and Joanne. Also, the Treanors, who embraced Dad from the day he was first introduced to them. Thanks to our neighbours, especially Anna McCabe and to Gwen, Anne and Michelle. Thanks to his GPs Dr. Brian Dean, Dr. Eileen McAuley and the outstanding medical teams where Dad spent his final days with us at the Mater in Belfast, Meadowlands and the RVH. We were touched by those who traveled to Rostrevor for Dad’s Funeral Mass. Although many could not pay their respects in person, we are grateful to all who watched online and for the lovely cards. Thanks to Patricia Mooney and to all who helped organise Dad’s Wake, and to Charles Digney & Sons and Bernard Mulholland, for the dignified Funeral / Burial arrangements. We hope this acknowledgement will be accepted by everyone as our appreciation for your support to Dad, and to us, over the years. Dad’s Month's Mind Mass: Sat., August 7, 2021, 6.00pm, St. Mary’s Star of the Sea, Rostrevor.
