HUSSEY - Paul (First Anniversary, September 9). As we approach the First Anniversary of Pauls death his children, grandchildren, great-grand-daughter and extended family would like to take this opportunity to thank so many for the support in helping us care for Dad in his final months and for the kindness shown to us over the last year. We particularly want to acknowledge and thank all who helped us care for Dad at home - Susie, Leo, Lorena, Damien, St Francis Community Palliative care team and the team in Sutton Cross Surgery we could not have managed without you and we will forever remember your gentle guidance and help in making the precious time of Dads last few weeks as comfortable as possible. Thank you to Rev Paul Hampson for being with us after Dad died, the prayers at home and the beautiful and fitting Funeral Mass and Burial. Thank you to Dads many friends and neighbours who came to Staffords, who were with us for Dads last night at home and the celebration of his life at his Funeral Mass. We got so much comfort from your kind words and memories. We are eternally grateful to the wonderful community in Glencarraig who Dad was part of for so long and we were deeply touched by the respect paid as his neighbours said their final farewell along the road as we brought Dad to St Fintans Church. We want to take this opportunity to thank everyone for the thoughtful cards and messages received in the days and weeks after Dads death. Your thoughts and words have been great comfort to us over the last year and we will remember you at the Mass for Dads Anniversary.
