BROOKES, J. Donald (Killiney) - December 19, 2013, (peacefully) at home; dearly loved husband of Olga, loving father to Sarah, Neil and Claire. Will be sadly missed by his sister Jean, grandchildren Toby and Emily, family and friends. Funeral Service on Monday (December 23) at 10.30 o'clock in Christ Church, Sandymount Green, afterwards to Mount Jerome Crematorium. No flowers, please. Donations, if desired, to RNLI.

<p>A truly good Man</p> <p><span>In the very many years I have known Donald I found him to be an absolute gentleman.</span></p> <p><span> He was kind, a good listener, sympathetic and often with a witty turn of phrase.</span></p> <p><span> It is a tragic day for Donald’s family but I hope they can draw some comfort in knowing that he helped so many people throughout his life.</span></p> <p><span> We are all poorer by his going. </span></p>
