CONNOLLY, Denys, OBE, JP, (Belfast, Dublin, Hong Kong) October 17, 2022 in his 91st year in St Vincent’s University Hospital, Dublin. Beloved husband of the late Nesta (died 1961) and Margaret (died 2022 in Hong Kong). He will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by his children, Maire, Siobhan and Brian, son-in-law Mark, daughter-in-law Terri; his grandchildren Andrew, Eoin, Rory, Ciaran, Liam, Neven, Keeva, Cian, and Lia, and his great- grandchild Isabelle; his sisters Dorothy, Brenda and Joan and his brother-in-law Michael; all his nephews and niece, and all his extended family and friends. Rest in Peace. The family send thanks to the staff in St Vincent’s Hospital and Newtownpark House who cared for him in his final weeks. Removal on Tuesday morning (October 25) to the Church of the Sacred Heart, Donnybrook arriving at 10.50 am for Funeral Mass at 11.00 am followed by cremation at the Victorian Chapel, Mount Jerome, Harold’s Cross.

Sad to think that Denys has gone out of our lives. I have memories of him and Margaret turning up in Dublin every so often. He was a friendly and generous person. My sympathies to his family. May he and Margaret rest in peace.
