THORNLEY, (née Hughes), Petria (Ballsbridge, Dublin and late of Clontarf and former Vice-Principal of St. Mary's School, Holy Faith, Haddington Road), May 10, 2017, (peacefully) after a short illness at St. Vincent's University Hospital. Beloved wife of the late Dr. David and much loved mother of Gerry and Yseult. Predeceased by her sisters Mary and Dympna. She will be greatly missed by her family, her sister Catherine, brother Johnny, sister-in-law Breda, brothers-in-law Aidan, Tim and Edward, daughter-in-law Una, her treasured grandchildren Dylan, Evan and Shana, nieces Caoimhe and Subhanora, nephews Brian, Oisín, Nicholas and Aengus and all her relatives and friends. Rest in Peace. Reposing on Sunday next at Fanagans Funeral Home, 54 Aungier Street, Dublin 2 from 3.00pm until 5.00pm. Removal on Monday morning to the Church of St. Mary Star of the Sea, Sandymount arriving at 9.50am for Requiem Mass at 10.00am followed by cremation in the Victorian Chapel, Mount Jerome, Harold's Cross. No flowers please. Donations if desired to The Society of St Vincent de Paul.
