CALDICOTT, Clive Edric John (Rick), Professor Emeritus of French, UCD (Shankill, Dublin18) – June 11, 2025, peacefully at home, with his family by his side. Sadly missed by his loving wife Elizabeth, sons David and Andrew, daughter Katie, daughter-in-law Laura, grand-children Aisling, Rory, Pablo, Leila, Maddie, Amelie, Lucie, Jack and Luc and by his extended family and friends. Reposing at Colliers Funeral Home, Old Connaught Avenue, Bray today (Monday) from 4.00pm to 6.00pm. Funeral Service tomorrow (Tuesday) at 11.00am in St. John the Evangelist Church, St. John’s Road, Sandymount, Dublin 4, followed by burial in Shanganagh Cemetery.

I am very sorry to learn of Rick’s death. He was a very supportive head of department during my time at UCD and a highly respected colleague. My sincere condolences to Elizabeth and the family.
