Shocked and devastated

Dear Joan: I was deeply saddened and shocked at the news of Pat's passing. I have been trying to make contact for the last number of years using the internet but never had success until I checked on LinkedIn where I saw his picture. Delighted at the possibility of renewing our friendship I called TwoWay several times but seemed to miss him each time. I did not know he was very sick during that time and when I called in late July I found out about his passing. I can't really express in words how this affected me except that Pat has been on my mind ever since and although we drifted apart because I emigrated I often thought about him and for the past few years he has been very much in the forefront of my mind. I have such fond and vivid memories of the times we "hung out" together and have always treasured the many stories we share. I am so very sorry that we will never get to chat about those times and here in Canada I feel pretty helpless to offer sympathy. Time has passed so quickly and so much has changed;that being said I would very much like to meet with you next time I am in Ireland if that is OK. I'm afraid I'm not sure when that will be at this time. I am also at a disadvantage not having any contact information for you. I'd really appreciate if you would contact me. my email is tmolloy@qpharm.ca.

Joan, I really hope you make contact. I have lost touch with too many people who were important in my life and I'd hope that will change in time.

Love and sympathy,

Tom ( Tommy) Molloy
