WEIR - Grania Rachel (only remaining daughter of 16th Lord Inchiquin, The O’Brien) Beloved wife (50 years) of Hugh, Ballinakella Lodge, Whitegate, Co. Clare, in whose embrace (assisted by Federico), she died at home, October 12, 2023; Special mother to Tomas, daughter-in-law Consol, and grandma to Sol, Eoin and LLuc. Funeral Service at 2.30pm in Mountshannon Church (C.I.), tomorrow (Sunday), October 15, 2023. Commiserations and recollections etc., following burial in adjoining graveyard. Family flowers only, donations to a charity of your choice welcome. House private.

Grania was so special to me. When my parents died when I was 4 years old I stayed with Grania on my holidays from school. Grania was love, for me she was my hero, with Grania I knew she loved me and I, her. I am so thankful to have been able to tell her that about a month ago when we spoke on the phone. May God Bless you Grania…..you are very loved.
