BAKER, (née Dempsey-Murphy) Monica (Glenageary, Co. Dublin, proprietor Decwells Hardware, Sth. Great George’s St., Dublin 2) - October 10, 2023. Very peacefully, with her devoted family by her side and in the kind and tender care of the staff at Our Lady’s Hospice, Blackrock. Dearly beloved wife and best friend of David and loving Mum to Colin, Wesley and Davina. Those lucky enough to have met Monica knew instantly of her warm heart, quiet strength and generous caring nature. She will be deeply missed by her husband, sons and daughter, sisters Marian, Maureen and brother Pat, daughter-in-law Emer, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours, many loyal friends and her treasured pets Loxie, Daisy and Jack. Monica will be reposing at her home tomorrow (Tuesday) from 4pm to 6pm. Funeral Mass on Wednesday, October 18 at 10am in St. Joseph’s Church, Glasthule followed by burial in Kilquade Cemetery. For those that cannot attend, the Mass can be viewed online using this link: www.churchservices.tv/glasthule. Donations, if desired to Our Lady’s Hospice, Blackrock: www.olh.ie. May she rest in peace.
