DORNEY Supt. Martin (Kingsland, Ballinora, Waterfall, Co. Cork, died January 7, 2011) - On this the first anniversary of Martin's untimely death, his long term partner and wife, Paula, as well as his children, Aisleigh, Niamh and CiarĂ¡n and our extended families, wish to express our sincere gratitude to all those who supported and sympathised with us. To those who attended our home, removal Mass and burial; especially those who travelled long distances; to those who sent Mass Cards, letters of sympathy, enrolments, any donations to Marymount Hospice and to those who helped us in all your various ways a sincere thank you. Thank you to Martins second family, An Garda Siochana, whose involvement in the removal and burial was both fitting and touching and gave Martin the service that was befitting of him. Thank you to the Ballinora GAA club who were so courteous and helpful during Martins service. Thank you to O'Connor's funeral home, Sarsfield Road, for their compassion and professionalism. Thank you to Canon Donal Lenihan, for the support he gave Martin throughout his illness and to concelebrants for officiating at Martins Mass; to the Garda choir and Garda band for their wonderful participation. To all Martins Garda colleagues and wonderful friends who have been so supportive and kind, and who continue to support us, a heartfelt thank you. To our family members, thoughtful neighbours, work colleagues, college and school friends and all our caring friends who have been there for us throughout this past difficult year and who are still continuing to support us a wholehearted thank you. Understandably due the character Martin was it would be impossible to mention each individual who has touched us with their sympathy and kindness, but we hope that all as a token of our gratitude will accept this acknowledgment. First anniversary Mass at St. James church, Ballinora, on Sunday, January 8, 2012 at 11.30am.Loving you is easy we do it every day,
Missing you is a heartache that
never goes away.
