FOND MEMORIES OF A BELOVED BISHOP

I will always treasure the memories of our Alaskan cruise and cruise to Nova Scotia when Bishop Boland was along. The word spread quickly that there was a Catholic Bishop on board ship with an Irish accent!

Seafaring chaplain

Bishop Boland gave wonderful homilies, filled with good theology and wonderful stories. It was a privilege to work with him in the Chancery in the Office of Worship as Music Director. Enjoying being a chaplain for cruises, he requested a CD of hymns be made from the seafaring hymnal so that people could sing during the services.

Bp. Raymond, promoter of ministries

We will always be grateful for the way that Bp. Boland encouraged ministries to develop among the people. St. James Parish in Kansas City is especially grateful for Bp. Boland's decision to allow the parish to remain open and serving a very diverse community.

Also, the regulars at Chubby's on Broadway miss your presence in the corner booth.
