ALMQVIST Bo Gunnar (Professor Emeritus of Irish Folklore, University College Dublin), (Shankill, Co. Dublin and Dún Chaoin, Co Kerry, and originally from Alster, Sweden) Died November 9, 2013 in Loughlinstown Hospital after a short illness borne with characteristic courage. Deeply missed by his beloved wife Éilís, his adored children, Marja, Ragnar and Olaf, dear sister Vera, grandchildren, Hannah, Donagh and Tomás, son-in-law Christopher, daughters-in-law Ailbhe and Nadezhda, many relatives and wide circle of friends in Ireland, Iceland, Sweden, Shetland and elsewhere. Reposing at home on Friday, November 15, 7.00-10.00 pm. Funeral service at the Church of Our Lady of Wisdom, Belfield, at 11.00 a.m, Saturday, 16th November 16, followed by funeral to Mount Jerome Crematorium. No flowers please. Donations if wished to Bray Cancer Support Group.He was our star of knowledgein the morning,and the dew of the afternoon.
