O'REGAN, Paula (Goatstown) on mid Summers Day in the gentle care of the staff at Our Lady’s Hospice, Harold’s Cross. She was a unique, loving and creative individual, principled and kind with a wide range of friends. She lived life lit by the qualities of resilience, patience, warmth and respect for nature and the environment. Over the past two years she dealt with illness in the way that she dealt with life generally – and with the priceless support of her great friends Helen, Mairead and Rosemary. She found true happiness in her wide circle of friendships. She was deeply loved by her brothers John and Charles, sister-in-law Susan, nephew Tadhg and was a dear sister to her late brother David. Reposing at Fanagans Funeral Home, Dundrum tomorrow (Thursday) afternoon from 4.30 pm to 6 pm. Funeral Mass on Friday morning at 10.00 am in the Church of St. Thérèse, Mount Merrion followed by burial at Deans Grange Cemetery. Wild or garden flowers only. May her gentle soul Rest in peace
O'REGAN - Following the passing of our dear sister Paula on Mid Summers Day 2022, the O’Regan family are so grateful for the wonderful support from her many friends while she was ill, many of whom we had not met before her funeral. Paula had a very significant number of friends from the DLRC Library Service, Walking Groups, her fellow students from the Natural Medicines, her fellow choristers, her neighbours and the many other friends she made in life, as friendships were what truly energised her for all the various activities she undertook. We appreciate all the letters, Mass cards, phone calls and messages of condolence which many of you placed on the funeral notice website. To the very many who came to Mount Merrion Church to her funeral Mass, to those who brought wild flowers, your kindness will never be forgotten. The care our sister received from her GPs, St Vincent's and Loughlinstown Hospitals, local health services, and in the final months, the Wicklow and Harolds Cross Hospices was outstanding. Ba mhaith linn ár mbuíochas ó chroí a ghabháil libh. Paula was at heart a true naturalist, loved walking, loved her dog and the great outdoors. In her memory we aspire to have a bench erected in her neighbourhood for passers-by to sit down for a rest.
An individual,
and of great integrity,
always in our hearts
