SLOWEY, Brian Aodh, Foxrock, (Former Chairman of Guinness Ireland, Aer Lingus et al) - May 29th, 2023. Brian died suddenly but peacefully in the loving care of Ashbury Nursing Home. Beloved husband and best friend of Marie (deceased) and much-loved father of Fiona, Michelle, Sharon and David. Sadly, missed by his loving family, sons-in-law Michael and Jamie, adored grandchildren Jack, Ben, Amy and Eoin, extended family, relatives and friends. Reposing at Massey Bros. Funeral Home, 5 Newtownpark, Blackrock on Thursday 1st June from 6 pm to 8 pm. Brian’s funeral Mass will take place on Friday morning (June 2nd)at 10.00 am at St. Brigid’s Church, Cabinteely Village, D18 YP96, followed by cremation thereafter in the Victorian Chapel, Mount Jerome, Harold’s Cross, arriving at 12.15 pm. Mary and I were very sorry indeed to hear of Brian’s death. I had got to know him during our time together with the International Fund for Ireland. Brian did a lot of good for people on this Island both North and South. He was a great friend and a great colleague. Our deepest condolences to all the family.
