Sheila Mooney

In faraway South Africa we have only just heard of the death last year of Sheila Mooney. The twins Patrick & Michael and I having gone to boarding school in Ireland have the fondest of memories of Sheila and her late husband Jimmy. Sheila cared for us being so very faraway from our parents in the Far East - she made us laugh and we loved her dearly. I did see her about 4 years ago when I visited Dublin with my mother Maureen Allen and as always she was amusing and ensured we left with fond memories of her. I am sure you will be missing her enormously as she was one of life's unforgettable characters. Deirdre

Wendy
I am sorry to hear of 'Aunt Sheila's' (as Sally & Sam keep referring to her as) death. I met your Mum with Sally about 2 yrs ago. She had a great sparkle. I really enjoyed her company. I am sure she will be missed. 92, what a great innings, but no matter the age it is still a sad occasion as daughter or son says Goodbye to their parent. I hope you all have sat around a warm fire and laughed about some of your memories with your Mum, while sipping on a fine Bottle of Vin Rouge. I was in Kerikeri with Sam about 10 days ago, she is keeping busy pulling her garden back into shape. Best Wishes for the future Helen Roche (Sally/Sam's Cousin)
