THOMPSON, Alan, April 21, 2022 (peacefully) beloved husband and best friend of Ruth, adored and loving father of Wendy, devoted Papa to his doting grandson Jaime, joined his late son Hugh in the tender arms of God after a short final illness. He won so many battles but this was too sudden and too much for even his courage to overcome. Alan will be forever loved, missed and remembered by his darling wife, daughter, grandson, brothers Billy and David, sisters-in-law Eleanor, Hilary and Miriam, brother-in-law Alan, nephews, nieces, extended family and a very close circle of friends. A Service to celebrate Alan’s life will take place in St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Dublin on Monday, April 25, 2022 at 11.00am followed by burial in Newcastle Cemetery, Co. Dublin. “Even so in Christ shall all be made alive”
