VERMEULEN, Nico ( Knockraheen, Roundwood and formerly of Badhoevedorp, Netherlands) peacefully on October 4, 2020. Beloved husband of Carole Anne; adored father of Jösta, Kimo and Saskia. Sadly missed by his son-in-law Murt, daughter-in-law Laure and Saskia’s partner Paul. Treasured Opa to Rebekah and Rosie, loving brother of Dea, Ada and the late Joan, sadly missed by his nieces, nephews, extended family and a wide circle of wonderful friends. The family would like to thank Dr. Ernan Gallagher and all at the Beacon Hospital for their tender care of Nico. Family and friends are welcome to pay their respects at Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, Bray, on Thursday, 8th October, from 5pm to 6pm. A celebration of Nico’s life will take place as per government guidelines on Friday, October 9, at 4pm in the Victorian Chapel at Mount Jerome Crematorium, Harold’s Cross, Dublin 6W. No flowers please. Donations, if desired, to Irish Cancer Society www.cancer.ie.

I am just visiting Badhoevedorp after 30+ years and drove past the Vermeulen’s house, which was three doors from ours. I thought I’d look up Nico who used to be my friend. So sad to hear the news. Condolences
