O'MAHONY, John, (New York and formerly of Market St., Bantry, Co. Cork), February 3, 2017 in New York, USA. John will be sadly missed by his aunts, Ina Hayes (Waterford), Sheila Cronin (Dublin), Cathleen Fitzgerald (Cork) and by a large circle of relatives and friends. Cremation has taken place in Brooklyn. A celebration of the life of John will be held in New York, and in Bantry, Co. Cork, at dates to be announced.

We met John after a long while at a wedding in Bantry (March, 2016), had a great craic with him and he was always a great craic. He will be sadly missed at future do's. Martin O'Sullivan

John has been a close family friend for a long time and a loving and generous godfather to our Nessa. We will miss his friendship and fun very much. Tom, Catherine, Luise and Nessa Ronayne.
