TIGHE, Ignatius (Iggy, Nacie) (Rathfarnham, Galway and DIT Kevin Street) – January 11, 2021, peacefully. Reunited with his beloved wife, Adelaide (Addie), his parents Patrick and Delia (Bridget), siblings Michael, John (an infant), Patrick (Joe), Bernard (Benny) and Frances (Francie), nephews Joe (Junior), Tony, Micheál and Kieran, Benny’s wife, Bridget, Francie’s husband, Charlie, and Addie’s siblings, Paddy and Maeve. Lovingly cared for by Úna, Alan, Mary, Betty and the tender staff of Orwell Healthcare, Rathgar and Glebe House, Kilternan. Sadly missed by his children Gráinne, Eoghan, Eimir, Úna, Fionnuala and Úna’s partner, Alan. A deep loss to friends Dessie, Mick, Jack and Paddy. Mourned by his nieces Maura, Noreena, Brigid, Ann, Frances, Mary and Margaret, nieces-in-law Kay, Mary, Brenda, nephews-in-law Greg, Sam, Matt, John, Peadar, Aidan, sons-in-law Mark and John, grandchildren Aisling, Conor and Ciarán, Addie’s family in Ireland and the U.S., great nieces and nephews, neighbours, friends and generations of students at Kevin Street. Returning home to Galway as, in this time, donation of his body to the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland is not possible.
