CASEY Dr. Patrick J. - August 2, 2012, peacefully, in his 90th year, in Washington, D.C., surrounded by his loving family either in person or in thought. Born in Limerick to Timothy and Margaret Casey of Glin, he attended Clongowes Wood College, read law at King's Inns and received his Ph.D. in literature from UCD. He was called to the Irish Bar in 1947 and taught English and Irish literature at Loyola University in Chicago, USA and Rome, Italy for 45 years. He was pre-deceased by his brothers Sean, S.J. and Timothy J. former head of the German Department, NUIG. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Barbara, daughter Bettina Bokiess, LSW (Steven, CPA, MST), son Brian, Ph.D. (Laura Pedraza-Fari-a, Ph.D., J.D.), his grandchildren Nicolle, Sofia and Patrick and many dear relatives and friends in Ireland and Sweden.He will be forever in our hearts
