HANLY, Fr. William SAC (Pallottine Community, Thurles and formerly of Moig, Askeaton, Co. Limerick), June 27, 2017, (peacefully), at St. Theresa's Nursing Home, Thurles following a long illness, predeceased by his sisters and brothers, Sr. Philomena, Bridie, Josie, Timmie and John; remembered with love and affection by his Pallottine Community, sister Mary (Frost), brother James, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, former parishioners and a world wide circle of friends. Lying in repose at the Pallottine College, Kickham Street, Thurles tomorrow (Sunday) from 4 o'c until 7 o'c followed by prayers and removal to College Chapel. Concelebrated Funeral Mass on Monday at 12 noon in the College Chapel. Burial immediately afterwards in the Community Cemetery at St. Mary's, Cabra, Thurles.May his good soul Rest in Peace

Father Hanly was a beloved priest in our Lubbock,​Texas parish. He married my sister and her husband in March 1964 before returning to to Ireland. 17 years later after returning to West Texas, he performed our marriage in 1981. He was loved

Father Hanley was our priest/​mentor at Texa Tech,​Lubbock,TX. The Catholic student center is named after him as he was highly loved and respected. Father Hanley traveled to West, Texas in Dec.1962 1962 to marry us. June&Bill Frawley
