CONAGHAN, Mercie Conaghan (née Cusack) February 11, 2023, peacefully, (late of Clondalkin and formerly Mitchelstown, Co. Cork). Predeceased by her husband John. Deeply regretted by her devoted partner Hans Martin, sister Mary Dowling, brother Carthage, relatives and large circle of friends. Reposing in the Chapel of Rest Mitchelstown, P67 DX81 on Thursday (February 16) from 6.00pm. to 7.00pm. Requiem Mass on Friday (February 17) at 12.00 noon in the Church of Mary Conceived Without Sin, Mitchelstown followed by burial in the Adjoining Cemetery. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a h-anam dílís

As we approach the first Anniversary of Mercie’s death February 11, 2023, Hans, Mary and Carthage would like to thank most sincerely all those who sympathised with and supported us in our great loss.
We wish to thank our extended family, friends, Mercie’s neighbours from Dublin and Donegal and former colleagues in Board Failte/Failte Ireland who attended the funeral, and particularly those who travelled long distances to be with us. We are indebted to her Medical Team in Newtownards and Bangor, Co Down for their dedication and caring throughout her illness. A special thank you to Dr Graeme Crawford whose support to Mercie and to the family was invaluable. Thank you to Fr Pat O’Donoghue for celebrating the Mass, the Funeral Directors,
S Clark & Son, Newtownards, Co Down and JJ O’Brien & Sons, Chapel of Rest, Mitchelstown, Co Cork for their guidance and professionalism. Trusting that this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our sincere appreciation and gratitude.
