CROWLEY CM, Fr. Roderic (St. Paul’s Sybil Hill, Raheny), January 29, 2023 peacefully aged 93yrs. Sadly missed by his dear sister Marianne, his sister-in-law, beloved nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews, his Vincentian Confreres and many friends. Fr. Roderic was predeceased by his brothers Niall, Conor, Tim and Laurence. Lying in repose at Vincentian Residence, Sybil Hill Road, Raheny from 4.00pm to 6.00pm today (Wednesday). Requiem Mass 11am tomorrow (Thursday) at Daughters of Charity Chapel, Dunardagh, Blackrock, Co. Dublin followed by burial in Deans Grange Cemetery. The family would like to express their deep gratitude to Nurse Eileen Maher for her dedicated care for Fr. Roderic and to all the Sisters and staff at Nazareth House, Malahide Road.

I have always used Google to try to find Fr. Crowley. A warm soul who immersed himself into the tenets of the Vincentian congregation and an OG Vincentian in Nigeria. I was so young when he left Nigeria and the parish he had helped to shepherd: Christ the King Catholic Church Akowonjo. I know we all miss him but he lived a long and fruitful life as a shepherd of the flock of our Lord and Savior. May his gentle soul rest in peace. Amen.
