O'DONOVAN - Prof. Daniel (Dan) (Maunsell’s Road, Galway and formerly of Loughill, Co. Limerick) Who passed away on May 11, 2021.
Devoted husband of Pamela (née Glynn), beloved father of Cormac, Brian, Siobhan, Barry and Orla, and cherished grandfather of Fiona and Niamh, Eanna and Darragh and Katie and Maura. Reunited now with his darling grandson Eoin. Pamela and the O’Donovan family would like to sincerely thank the doctors and nurses of the Claddagh Ward UCHG and the Oncology Day Unit who took such good care of Daniel in his final weeks. A special thank you to Fr. Martin Downey not only for his spiritual guidance to Daniel and Pamela in this most difficult time in their life, but also for his lifelong friendship to Daniel. Fr. Larkins concelebrating of the funeral Mass was so appreciated bringing a connectivity for the living with the predeceased. A heartfelt thank you to the hundreds of neighbours, friends, Rotarians and former colleagues and graduates of NUIG, who endured the torrential rain to stand along the funeral route to pay your respects and support the O’Donovan family. To the friends and neighbours and all of you (too numerous to list) who have called on the phone, sent personal letters and cards or sympathised with the family in your own individual way under difficult Covid restrictions. We remember each and every one of you. The holy sacrifice of the Mass has been offered for your intentions. First anniversary Mass
will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2022 at 7.00pm
in St. Joseph’s Church, Presentation Road, Galway.
