DOHERTY (Seán) (Cootehall, Boyle, Co. Roscommon) (Former Minister for Justice, former Cathaoirleach of Seanad Éireann, former T.D., Senator and Councillor) - June 7, 2005 (peacefully), in the gentle care of the Staff of Letterkenny General Hospital, following a brief illness. Sadly missed by his heartbroken family, his loving wife Maura (née Nangle), daughters Rachel M.C.C., Kara, Leah and Evelyn, grandchildren Kate, Seán Luke, James and J.J., brothers Kevin and Colm (Newmarket-on-Fergus, Co. Clare), sisters Ann, Maria (Ballinrobe) and Philomena (Mena), father-in-law, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, aunt, nephews, nieces, aunts-in-law, cousins, relatives, his many friends and former colleagues. Reposing at the residence of his brother Kevin (Cootehall), from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. on Thursday, June 9. House private please from 5 o'clock until 7 o'clock prior to removal to St Michael's Church, Cootehall arriving at 7 o'clock Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, June 10 at 11 o'clock Funeral immediately afterwards to Ardcarne Cemetery.
