We are very grateful to all who attended the reposing at home and the funeral Mass particularly those who travelled long distances to be with us as we laid to rest an inspirational woman, a wonderful wife, and a devoted loving mother, nana and sister. To Irene's special friend Pat O'Toole whose loyalty and friendship especially during Irene's illness is greatly appreciated. We also wish to acknowledge the wonderful care and treatment provided by Dr. Philip Murphy and his team of doctors and nurses in the Coleman. K. Byrne (CKB) Haematology Clinic whose genuine empathy, expertise, work ethic and sense of caring reflects great credit on themselves and their profession and we thank them for their care and kindness. To Father Paul Ward PP, who concelebrated Mass, with Fr. Christopher Sheridan, Fr. Joe Jones and Fr. Bill Ryan O.F.M.Cap., and Sacristan Fred Daly, Sr. Marie Kiernan, and Sr. Susan Jones. Special thanks to Antoinette Heery and Eileen Dwyer for providing a beautiful combination of singing and music which greatly enriched the ceremony. We also thank the Bon Secours sisters who travelled from different parts of Ireland to support Sr. Jacinta and our family. To the Gaelic Athletic Association, the Dublin County Board, St. Vincent's Hurling & Football Club and DCU colleagues and students, a sincere thank you. To the Dublin Senior Football Management and team whose attendance at the reposing of our beloved Irene was a moving tribute and was greatly appreciated. Well done to Stafford's Funeral Homes for a very professional service. Finally as it is not possible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of appreciation to all who supported the family in this difficult time. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass has been offered for your intentions."Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us every day,
Unseen unheard but always near. Still loved, still missed and very dear".
