MacMAHON, Desmond (Sandymount) - August 20, 2022. Peacefully, at home, after a short illness borne with grace and dignity. Predeceased by his wife, Valdi. Deeply regretted by his children Kathleen, Kevin and Meg, his partner Isobel, his grandchildren Ella MacMahon, Lucy and Clara Hurley, Des and Walter MacMahon and Nicholas Foley, his daughter-in-law Mema Byrne and sons-in-law Mark Hurley and Luke Foley, and his siblings Brian, Tom, Mary and Lucy, extended family and his many friends. May he rest in peace. Funeral Mass will take place in St. Mary’s, Star of the Sea Church, Sandymount at 11am tomorrow (Tuesday), 23 August, followed by cremation at 1:45pm approx. in the Victorian Chapel at Mount Jerome Crematorium.
