WOODS Dr. Desmond (Skerries Co. Dublin) February 15, 2016 - On the occasion of the First Anniversary of Des's death his wife Kathleen, daughter Emily, son Brian and brothers Pat, Peter and David wish to thank all those who supported Des and us during his illness and sympathised with us at the time of his passing. We offer a sincere thank you to the oncology team and staff on Cara Ward, St. Vincent's Private Hospital and all the caring staff at St. Francis Hospice Raheny. Thank you to Br. Eustace for pastoral care and friendship also to Fr. Richard Hyland for the meaningful funeral Mass. Thanks to the readers, pallbearers, musicians and soloist and all who helped with the liturgy. Thanks to his friend Brendan Ingoldsby for the eulogy. We appreciate Kirwan Funeral Directors for their guidance and dignity. Special thank you to all Des's former patients for all the letters, cards and prayers and to all who sent Mass cards and messages after his death. Thanks to all his colleagues who were very dear to him and friends and neighbours for visits and gestures of kindness. Thank you to Skerries Golf Club for the lovely lunch and all who helped at the wake. To family and friends who travelled long distances to be with us. As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of gratitude. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions. Anniversary Mass Saturday February 11 at 6pm.May he rest in peace.
