BENNETT, Tony (Carrickmines and formerly of Inchicore) passed away on the 26th of August 2025 under the excellent care of the staff of St. Vincent’s University Hospital and surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Nuala and loving father of Brian, Conor, Deirdre (Walshe), Eoin, Gavin and Geraldine. Predeceased by his sister Joan, brother Eamon and beautiful grandson Adam who has a big hug waiting for him. Father-in-law to Jody, Jackie, Jennifer, Catriona and Michelle. Grandfather to his many (18) cherished grandchildren, great-grandfather and lifelong friend to many. He will be sadly missed by us all, extended family and friends. Reposing at the Bennett family home in Claremont Pines tomorrow Friday, 29th of August, from 5pm to 7pm. Funeral will take place on Saturday, 30th of August, in the Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Succour, Foxrock, arriving at 10:40am for Reception of Remains at 10:45am, with Words of Appreciation, before Mass at 11am, followed by the burial in Kilternan Park Cemetery, Ballycorus Road. Just after hearing the sad news of Tony’s death last Tuesday and extend our sincere condolences to Nuala and to the whole extended family. We had spent many happy hours with Tony and Nuala when holidaying in Spain and in visits to Dublin. RIP Tony.
