SHEEHAN, Brendan (Donnybrook and formerly of Cabinteely) On June 23, 2023, peacefully at home. Beloved husband of Jean and loving father of David, Deirdre and Barbara, grandfather of his 9 cherished grandchildren and brother of Pat, Fintan and the late Ciaran. He will be greatly missed by his loving wife, children, grandchildren, brothers, daughter-in-law Aoife, sons-in-law Ollie and Greg, brother-in-law Bill Scott and his wife Ger, sisters-in-law, extended family and friends. Reposing this (Monday) evening, June 26, from 5pm to 7pm, at Rom Massey & Sons Funeral Home, 6 Cranford Centre, Stillorgan Road, D04 X446 (opposite UCD Flyover). Funeral Mass tomorrow (Tuesday) morning, June 27, at 11am at the Church of the Assumption, Booterstown Avenue, A94 TR68, followed by cremation at Mount Jerome Crematorium, D6W HY98. For those unable to attend, the Mass may be viewed live at https://www.churchservices.tv/booterstown and the cremation prayers at 1:30pm approximately at https://www.mountjerome.ie/garden-chapel-service/. SHEEHAN - On the first anniversary of the death of Brendan Sheehan, his wife Jean and children David, Deirdre, Barbara together with their spouses Aoife Cahill, Ollie McGrath and Greg Harrison, his grandchildren and Brendan’s brothers Pat (New York) and Fintan (Bahamas) and brother-in-law Bill Scott and his wife Ger Hynes would like to express our thanks for all the support and kindness we have received over the last year. We are very grateful to Brendan’s GP, Dr Michèle Rice, who cared so well for Brendan over many years. We also thank sincerely Prof. John Armstrong of Hospital and Prof. Janice Walshe of St. Vincent’s Private Hospital and their Oncology teams who treated Brendan with such care and compassion. We thank all Brendan’s friends in Elm Park Golf Club for their support and thank all the past captains who provided a guard of honour after Mass. Our heartfelt thanks to Mons. Father Ciaran O’Carroll of Booterstown parish and Rev. Father Tom O’Keeffe of Cabinteely who co-celebrated the funeral Mass and made it such a meaningful celebration of Brendan’s life. Finally our thanks to all Brendan’s engineering colleagues and our neighbours and friends who have been so supportive over the last year and to all who sent flowers, Mass cards and beautiful letters. Mass will be offered for the intentions of all.
