MacGOWAN, Simon William (Dun Laoghaire, Co Dublin) - July 30, 2023 in Nice, France. Beloved husband and best friend of Sandy, devoted and adored father of Jay and Taylor. Dearly loved son of Bill and of the late Joan MacGowan, brother of Nick, Guy and Amanda. Deeply mourned by all his family, his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, uncle, aunt, cousins and by his many friends and colleagues. Funeral service will take place at 11am on Friday morning in St Paul’s Church of Ireland, Glenageary, Co Dublin, followed by a private burial at St Patrick's Church cemetery, Enniskerry. Family flowers only, donations if desired to Doctors Without Borders.

I will never forget Mr Simon MacGowan who treated me as though I was his only patient. He welcomed me and made time for me in the midst of a very busy work schedule. My wife and I will never forget him. We express our sympathy to those who love him most.
