FLAVIN, (Ardmore, Taylor's Hill, Galway and formerly Garryvoe, Co. Cork) - April 13, 2012 (peacefully) at University Hospital, Galway; James N. (Jim) (Emeritus Professor of Mathematical Physics at NUIG). Dearly beloved husband of Freda and much loved father of Martina, Aonghus and Clíodhna. Sadly missed by his loving wife, son and daughters, his sister Sr. Angela R.S.C. (Los Angeles), his adored grand-children Aoife, Niall, Ríona, Orla, Caoimhe and Síomha, son-in-law Niall, daughter-in-law Nicola, brothers Barry, Bernard and John (Cork), relatives and friends. Removal today (Monday) to the Church of Christ the King, Salthill to arrive for Requiem Mass at 12.30pm. Funeral after Mass to Rahoon cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations in memory of Jim (if desired) to the Galway Hospice. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam uasal.
