TIERNAN, Dr. Thomas (Blackbanks Dublin 5. and late of Athleague Co. Roscommon) - On 22nd May 2021 (peacefully) after a short illness, borne with great dignity. Much loved husband of Joan, and loving father of Suzanne, Melissa, Julieann, and Mark, and greatly and sadly missed by their respective families including his eleven adored grandchildren. Also sadly missed by his sister Kathleen, extended family and friends. A private family funeral has already taken place at his request. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis.

<p>The most amazing Doctor I’ve ever known</p> My name is Suzanne Egan & I wanted to leave a message to offer my sincere condolences to the entire family of Dr. Tom. You are all in my thoughts. Dr. Tom was my GP for 42 years, my entire life to date, and he was also my entire families GP, including my parents, sisters, nieces, and husbands! I was so saddened when I learned of the passing of Dr. Tom, I only heard a few days ago, and I have shed many, many tears since. He is in my thoughts constantly as I remember the absolute gentleman that he was. I can see the glint in his eyes and his warm & welcoming smile that he always greeted me with. I can hear his laugh & see him sitting at his desk, always ready to fix whatever problem I had, in the most kindest & caring of ways. I was beyond lucky to have such a doctor as Dr. Tom, he was a true professional, a true gentleman and a friend to me for life. He played such a big part in my life, and the lives of my family, I am eternally grateful to Dr. Tom for all that he did for us, and for always being there, day or night, he was always there when you needed him. And I know that myself & my family all have a little hole in our hearts that he once filled. Thank you for being the amazing person that you were Dr. Tom, I will miss you so much.
