BRISCOE (Kinsale, Co. Cork) - January 20, 2015, Robert (Bob), late of UCC, beloved husband of Phil McGowan and father of David and Karen. He will be missed by his extended family, friends and professional colleagues in the United Kingdom, Canada, Fiji and Ireland. Funeral Service will take place on today (Thursday) at 3pm at The Island Crematorium, Rocky Island, Ringaskiddy, Co. Cork. Family flowers only please.

Thought of Bob today. Taught me in 1979 and 1980. Fantastic human being and an outstanding teacher and professor. Last I had heard, he was in Fiji. Memories abound.... He was a light. So helpful to me.
