EOGAN, George, Professor Emeritus of Celtic Archaeology, University College Dublin (Dublin and Nobber, Co. Meath) – November 18, 2021, peacefully at Our Lady's Hospice, following a long and happy life. Sadly missed by his loving wife Fiona (née Stephens) and his children James, Maeve, Deirdre and Clíona, daughter- and sons-in-law Maeve O'Callaghan, Mark Simpson, Niall Murphy and Brian Moore. Much loved Grandad of Heather, Sarah, Lucy, Henry, Martha, Joseph, Eleanor, Anna, Charlotte and Louisa. George will be greatly missed by his extended family, friends, colleagues and former students. May he Rest in Peace. Requiem Mass for George will take place today Monday November 22 at 10.00am in St. Joseph's Church, Terenure https://www.stjosephsterenure.com/live-mass/ followed by burial at St. John's Old Cemetery, Nobber, Co. Meath. Family flowers only. Donations, if desired, to Mercer's Institute for Research on Ageing, St. James's Hospital or to Our Lady's Hospice. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.
