In 1981 James painted a watercolour view of Lough Corrib in Eire. I don't know the reason for it - he knew and loved the place, fished there or whatever - but it is very close to my heart and a treasured and beautiful piece of work. My father fished the Corrib for most of his life and took me over there for holidays from a young age. He retired there and in due course I married there (at the church in Glann if you know it). I was sorry to read of James' passing. Please accept my sympathies. He left a wonderful legacy. Michael Edwards August 14, 2023
