VAUGHAN, Desmond (Des) of Bray, Co. Wicklow, August 18, 2020, peacefully after a short illness at St. Vincent’s University Hospital, Elm Park. Sadly missed by his loving family. Beloved husband and best friend of Ita (Saul), brother of Dorothy Philbin (Louisburgh, Co. Mayo) and Marguerite Staunton (Goatstown, Dublin), sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, neighbours and wide circle of friends. Des will rest in the Chapel of Repose, St. Vincent’s University Hospital, D04 T6F4 tomorrow (Saturday) afternoon August 22 from 2.00pm to 3.30pm. HSE guidelines regarding public gatherings will apply to Des’ Funeral Mass which will take place on Monday, August 24 at 11.30am in the Church of Our Lady Queen of Peace, Putland Road, Bray which may be viewed on queenofpeace.ie followed by cremation in Mount Jerome Crematorium, Victorian Chapel at 1.45pm https://vimeo.com/event/153499. No flowers by request. Donations, if desired to St. Vincent de Paul, Bray Conference. Please note that social distance must be observed at all times. May he Rest in Peace. like to thank family, relatives, friends and neighbours for their love and support during this sad time. Sincere gratitude to all who attended funeral ceremonies in person, or via webcam, and those who sent Mass cards, messages of condolence and floral tributes. Many thanks to Fr Joseph Whelan and team at Our Lady’s Queen of Peace parish, Bray,

and to Mr Mark Kinsella, Funeral Director for their gentle guidance with requiem arrangements. Please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of my heartfelt appreciation. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions
