MARTIN, John (CAPT. Rtd.) (Dalkey Co. Dublin) June 17, 2022 (peacefully) in the compassionate care of the staff at Beechfield Manor Nursing home, with his family by his side. John, beloved husband of Joyce; loving Dad to Johnny, Graeme, Justin and Ross. Sadly missed by his wife, sons, daughters in law Fiona, Mickaela, Brit and Johnny’s partner Orla, his adored grandchildren, brothers and sisters, extended family and a wide circle of friends, including the RIYC sailing community, and his colleagues of the Defence Forces. Johns Funeral will take place tomorrow, Wednesday (22, June), at 10am in the Church of the Assumption, Dalkey and can be viewed online at www.churchservices.tv/dalkey followed by cremation in the Victorian Chapel, Mt Jerome Crematorium which can be viewed online at https://www.mountjerome.ie/victorian-chapel-service/ Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, to the RNLI.
