COADY, Dr. Desmond P., 6th June, 2025 (Rathmines). Peacefully, surrounded by his loving family at Our Lady’s Hospice, Harold’s Cross. Beloved husband of Adrienne and adored father of Andrew, Laura and James. Loved and remembered always by his family, his cherished grandchildren Evie, Alexandra, Isabel, Sofia and Noa-Maria, and also by his Sister Philomena, Sister-in-law Geraldine, Daughter-in-law Sara, Son-in-law Charlie, Brothers-in-law George and Denis, Nieces Sandra and Susan, extended family and many friends. Requiescat in Pace. Removal on Wednesday morning (11th June) to The Church of the Holy Spirit, Kimmage Manor (D12WP44) arriving for Funeral Mass at 12.00 noon, followed by burial in Mount Venus Cemetery. Family flowers only please, donations if desired to Our Lady’s Hospice, Harold’s Cross. House private. Our sincere and heartfelt thanks to the outstanding healthcare staff of Our Lady’s Hospice who looked after Des with love, care and devotion in the final weeks of his life.

Dear Adrienne, I was so sorry to hear the news of Des's passing. You were the loveliest neighbours to have in Pine Valley Yourself and Des were always such great company and so nice to us all even as pesky teenagers and young adults. Thinking of you, Laura, Andrew, James and your grandchildren. I know there's definitely a wealth of wonderful memories for you to draw on to bring you comfort into the future. Dr. Coady was a wonderful doctor, and a great person, with the patience of a saint. He will be sadly missed. Rest in peace Des. To his wife, I need to thank you too, because without you Des would not have been able to do what he did.
