McNAMARA - On Michaels First Anniversary, he is sadly missed and fondly remembered by Joan, Siobhán, Eoin and Gráinne, Niall and Yaeka, Cathal and Sarah and his extended family. He is frequently mentioned to his beloved grandchildren Jamie, Harry, Ria and baby Mikey who was born last month on the same birthday as his Grandad Mi. We will keep his precious memory alive in our memories and loving descriptions of his kindness and pride in his family which matter so much to us.

McNAMARA - Michael. On the eve of Michaels First Anniversary, Joan, Siobhán, Eoin, Niall and Cathal and Michaels extended family would like to thank everyone who has offered love and sympathy since Michaels death. We are grateful for all who visited us at home, sent Mass cards and posted Condolences on rip.ie. We appreciated very much the respect shown to Michael by all those who attended his reposal in Fanagans Kirwans and his Funeral Mass in our Parish Church of St. Vincent de Paul, Marino. We are very thankful to Fr. Christian Ameh, Fr. Liam Murtagh and Fr. Tom Casey SJ, who concelebrated the Funeral Mass. We were very appreciative of the assistance of the Marino Parish Funeral Liturgy Group while we prepared for the Mass. The lovely music played by Michaels brothers Brian and Frankie and his nephew Brian during the Communion reflection meant so much. We are so thankful for the wonderful medical care Michael received in the Bon Secours Hospital in Glasnevin, he was very well looked after by Professor Morris and his Oncology team and all the staff in St. Marys Ward who took such sensitive care of Michael, as he was weakening and he was kept pain free. The St. Marys Ward team and Pastoral Care group also looked after us, his family, as we tried to support Michael and one another. Michaels G.P. Dr. Robert Scanlon from Griffith Avenue Practice was a strong supporter during all stages of his illness. We are also grateful for the gift of International Air Travel which allowed Eoin to spend his Dads last day with him and meant that Niall could travel back to Dublin for the important days of the reposal and Funeral Mass. As we continue to learn how to be us without him, we will remind his beloved grandchildren how much he loved them and enjoyed watching them grow and develop.
Michaels First Anniversary will be remembered at 11 a.m. Mass on Sunday, 16 November, in the Church of St. Vincent de Paul, Marino. Whenever you might think of Michael, please remember him as the special person he was. A diligent Civil Servant, a committed Radio Transmitter, an enthusiastic Philatelic Collector but above all else a very proud father and grandfather and a supportive husband. We, his family, were always his first priority and we miss him every day. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass has been offered for your intentions.
