GRIMES, Fr. Ed C.S.Sp. (Kimmage Manor and late of Sunday’s Well, Cork). Missionary in Ireland, the Gambia and the USA, April 15, 2020. Deeply regretted by his sister Helen (Ó Cearbhaill), brother Michael, sister-in-law Carmel, nephews and nieces, grandnephews and grandnieces, extended family, friends and Spiritan confrères. Pre-deceased by his brother-in-law Diarmuid Ó Cearbhaill. Rest in Peace. In keeping with Government restrictions, a private funeral will take place.

Fr Grimes was in The Gambia while I was growing up. He was a kind, loving man. I have fond memories of his many good deeds. I regarded him a my “second Dad” and felt nothing but love for him. He will be missed. Madeleine Jammeh Molloy.

<p>Fr. ED</p> <p>The Wright family in Redwood City,CA extend our deep sorrow at the loss of Fr. Ed. He has been a good friend and spiritual advisor for many many years. Our children and their families will miss his humor and our grandchildren Jessica, Melissa, Jennifer, John and Kelsey still remember the days they wrote and performed plays to entertain him. Our loss is heaven's gain.</p>
