my lovely cousin Mary

I could not believe how stoic and brave Mary was about her terminal illness, no self-pity just an acceptance and a sense of humour. Mum always said that Mary was one of the next generation who reminded her of granny, and that was one of the biggest compliments mum could give.

I had hoped to see Mary before she died but unfortunately I was sick myself and aware that it was not a good idea to bring germs close to someone that ill, so I have missed out and will always regret the missed opportunity of getting to know my cousin better.

My heart goes out to all of you, what a loss, know that my thoughts are with you all

Aoife
