SWEETNAM, (Sligo and Dublin) - August 3rd 2020, peacefully at North West Hospice, The Mall, Sligo. Cherished eldest son of Miriam and the late Frank, devoted husband and best buddy of Hazel (Winn), deeply loved and adored Dad of Erica and Meriel. Greatly missed by his brothers Rodney, Paul and Mark, sisters-in-law Mary, Rosie and Dawn, brother-in-law Brian, his wife Carole, Meriel’s partner David. Lovingly remembered by all his nieces, nephews, extended family circle, neighbours and a wide circle of friends. “A True Gentleman” Reposing at his home on (Wednesday August 5th) from 4pm to 7pm for family and close friends only. House private outside of reposing times, please. Removal on (Thursday August 6th) to St. John’s Cathedral, John Street, Sligo, arriving for Funeral Service at 2pm. Funeral Service will be live streamed on WEBSITE. Private cremation will follow. Funeral Service is private to family and close friends only (50 inside Church by invitation) (200 outside are welcome). At Lloyd’s request those who wish to leave a condolence message, memory or story for the family may do so on RIP.ie, in private at www.feehilys.ie or by traditional manner c/o Feehily’s Funeral Home. Family flowers only. Donations in Lloyd’s memory, if desired, to S.H.O.U.T (Sligo Hospital Oncology Unit Trust) or Sligo Cancer Support Centre c/o Seán Feehily at Seán Feehily’s Funeral Home, Cartron Cross, Sligo.
SWEETNAM - Lloyd. As we approach the first anniversary of Lloyd’s passing (August 3, 2020), Hazel, Erica, Meriel and all the family would like to say a very sincere thank you to everyone who showed such kindness, and for their help, support and prayers during Lloyd’s illness. Thank you for your cards, letters, mass cards and the many memories shared. Thank you to friends, neighbours, kayakers, Sligo Grammar School and Sligo Fun Company for the Guards of Honour along his final journey to St John’s Cathedral. Thank you to Very Rev. Arfon Williams who conducted a beautiful and heartfelt funeral service. A special word of gratitude to Sligo University Hospital and North West Hospice Sligo for their excellent care and kindness. We are very grateful for all the donations in Lloyd’s memory to S.H.O.U.T and Sligo Cancer Support Centre. Lloyd was a true gentleman who will be forever missed. Please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our gratitude.
